    Job description

    This critical role will be based out of Rochester, NY reporting to the CEO and providing leadership to our Business Development and Strategic Account Management teams who are driving new business sales for our $80M service division.

    Given our organization’s current and future demands for strong organic growth, we seek a leader with experience delivering systematic and scalable sales results. The role is ideally suited for a person who can work effectively with a high-performing leadership team, shape talent, enhance team building and strengthen collaboration while ensuring business objectives are met or exceeded.

    Responsibilities

    This position will be responsible for Business Development and Strategic Account Management insuring that new customers are continually developed and onboarded while strengthening our relationships with our key strategic accounts. The position will work closely with service leadership to deliver on business development and profitability objectives.

    Develops and continually improves a system and formula for identifying and closing new business opportunities. Coaches and mentors Business Development Managers to execute the formula.

    Ensures Business Development Managers and Strategic Account Managers are systematically developed, effective and meet the expectations of customers, employees and the company.

    Deploys, maintains a process for large account management that will insure that we are continually moving towards strategic partnerships with our key clients.

    Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

    Insures compliance with our high-level of ethics.

    Works in partnership with service leadership to bring innovative and market leading solutions for our customers.

    Understands and drives business metrics and performance measurements to ensure effectiveness and goal achievement.

    Maintains knowledge of requirements and procedures affecting the business and ensures company policies, procedures, and reporting comply throughout the operation.

    Develops and implements strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives.

    Responsible for the creation of world-class bids and proposals.

    Coordinates and monitors customer service issues with an eye towards recommending and managing process improvement programs.

    Coordinates competitive market information and its dissemination to sales.

    In partnership with Service leadership, establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.

    Qualifications

    10-years’ experience managing sales in a B2B service sales environment.

    Demonstrated success in a very-complex, fast-growing technical service environment.

    Strong coaching and mentoring skills.

    Demonstrated experience exercising considerable judgment and discretion.

    Previous P&L and income statement responsibility.

    Ability to travel up to 40% of the time required.

    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and management skills. High ethical standards.

    Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, MBA, or Master’s degree a plus.
